Seeding Livelihoods, Strengthening Partnerships: A Step Forward for Rural Communities

Starspur is honoured to support a meaningful step toward sustainable livelihood creation for rural youth and vulnerable women through a seed contribution of Rs 100,000, made possible through the generosity of Mr. Sonu G. Samtani. This contribution will initiate a purposeful fund pool designed to help individuals in hard-to-reach communities start micro-businesses that can sustain their families with dignity.

Guided by the belief that true impact is created through collaboration, this initiative is part of Starspur’s Grow a Village pathway, an effort grounded in pairing modest resources with the right expertise and trusted partners. The implementation, mentoring, and on-ground guidance of aspiring entrepreneurs will be fully led by Sri Sathya Sai RISE Institute for Human Excellence (SSSRIF), whose experience, values, and credibility ensure lasting impact in these communities.

Starspur’s role is simple yet intentional: to cultivate connections that allow good people, good resources, and good work to meet at the right place and time. With limited internal manpower but a wide network of committed partners, we recognise that our greatest strength lies not in leading the spotlight, but in quietly enabling collaborations that benefit those who need it most.

The inauguration of the seed fund was marked by a beautiful rainbow arching across the land, creating a moment of serenity and auspiciousness — a reminder of hope, promise, and the bright futures that this initiative aims to nurture.

This contribution is aligned with the priority expressed in our communication to the Vice Chancellor of SSSIHL and the Chairman of SSSRIF: to support initiatives that strengthen self-reliance and community well-being, while respecting the leadership, processes, and visibility of our strategic partners.
