Serving with Gratitude: A Journey of Love and Light

On October 23rd and 24th, the spirit of Narayan Seva came alive as a small team of Starspur volunteers, led by Chomil Kamal, embarked on a heartfelt journey to serve communities across Beedupalli School, a local Nursery Playgroup, and Sri Sathya Sai Hospital.

Travelling by auto through the humble village lanes, 5 to 7 volunteers carried not just food, but warmth and joy — distributing slices of cake and Frooti packets to over 100 children and participants. What may have seemed like a simple gesture became a celebration of gratitude, community, and connection.

Happiness doesn’t always come from having more — sometimes, it begins with sharing what little we have.

At each stop, the smiles of children reflected the essence of Starspur’s mission: that service done with love creates light that lasts beyond the moment. Teachers and caregivers expressed heartfelt appreciation and shared ways Starspur could continue supporting the schools’ evolving needs.

Beyond distribution, the team also met with the CEO of SSSRIF to discuss a future project close to the heart — the cleaning of the holy Chitravathi River, envisioning a cleaner, healthier environment for generations to come.

When we give with sincerity, even the smallest act becomes sacred.

The journey reminded every volunteer that joy is found in gratitude, and that true service begins when hearts unite for a purpose larger than themselves.

Aligned with Starspur’s core values, this initiative reflected compassion in action — turning humble offerings into ripples of hope, unity, and divine service.
