Reflecting on the Tranquil Art & Nature Beach Outing

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the tranquil shores of East Coast Park, memories of our recent Art & Nature Beach Outing flooded back, leaving us with a sense of contentment and fulfillment. Hosted by Starspur Enterprise Ltd. on a blissful day back on April 22nd 2023, the event was a delightful escape into creativity and self-discovery.

One of the highlights of the day was the Tree After Wind Workshop, led by the talented Kheyton Lim. Sitting on the grass, shaded by the canopy of trees, participants immersed themselves in the simple yet profound act of drawing the trees around them. Each stroke of the pencil revealed not only artistic expression but also a deeper reflection of the self.

Kheyton’s insightful interpretations breathed life into our sketches, offering glimpses into our personalities and innermost thoughts. The diversity of tree drawings mirrored the uniqueness of each participant, sparking conversations and connections that transcended the boundaries of art.

Looking back, it’s clear that the workshop provided more than just a creative outlet. It was a moment of respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life, a chance to pause, reflect, and reconnect with nature and ourselves.

Through laughter and shared experiences, bonds were strengthened, and new friendships formed, leaving an indelible mark on all who attended.

For our volunteers, in particular, the outing served as a gentle reminder of the importance of self-care in their service to the community. By nurturing their own well-being, they are better equipped to support others, embodying the spirit of compassion and resilience.

As we reminisce about the Art & Nature Beach Outing, we are filled with gratitude for the opportunity to come together, explore our creativity, and deepen our connection to the natural world. It was more than just a day at the beach; it was a journey of self-discovery and shared experiences that will stay with us for years to come.
